Italian bicycle manufacturer Protek can already show a history since 1998 when it manufactured its first handmade bicycle frame in the town of Abruzzo.
Nowadays Protek manufactures and sells its own trademark while bicycles for various disciplines are created such as road, cyclo-cross, mountain bike and triathlon. Although Protek applies the newest technologies, the creators at the bicycle company guarantee a handmade frame.
By this personal approach, the issue of the correct size of your bike is no longer a point while details en quality are still guaranteed during the whole manufacturer's process...

The Protek bicycles are tested during competition races by sponsored teams and athletes. Among the large number of racers riding Protek, there is the Czech U23 cyclo-cross racer Lukas Prihoda who is also part of the national team. But also the Japanese cycling federation cooperates together with Protek...
The frame for the 2009-2010 season is called Protek K2.1 frame and it combines the modern and innovating design where the precision when racing is the logical conclusion. The Protek mountainbike has some nice data while the weight of the bike (at medium size) comes down to 10,6 kg.
It's also equipped with a Shimano XT Disc group set while the Mavic Crosstrail wheels are covered with Maxxis Lust tires. The standard bike sizes are applicable, but bear in mind that Protek doesn't sell standard sized bikes... Only handmade!
