Belgian champion cross country Githa Michiels (Team Saeco) had a serious crash during the training sessions in Houffalize.
When descending the Fosse d'Outh, according to several other racers Githa was heading downhill with too much speed. She hit a ditch and couldn't avoid the following bump and crashed.
She partially fell on her head which cracked her helmet and got a concussion.
Getting the first news from the hospital, it still seems that Githa will be starting the race on Sunday.
