On June 21st 2009 the biggest mountainbike stage competition in Germany kicks off: the Craft Bike Trans Germany!! With seven stages throughout the Central German Highlands, this third edition has everything to become another success.
In the first six stages there are only minor changes made to the course while the most significant changes occured in the last 20 km of the seventh and final stage of this TransGermany.
Race director Jens Uhlig explains: "This year, during the final stage from Oberwiesenthal to the spa resort of Seiffen racers will make a loop around Neudorf after the downhill section on the Fichtelberg."

"The final 20 km of this last stage are totally new. We were able to replace the asphalt zone in the Natzschung valley by forest trails and a downhill zone in Olbernhau. The course of the other stages are practically untouched.", concludes Uhlig.
