Only world champion for just two weeks in the juniors category, Italian racer Gerhard Kerschbaumer, has also wun the final World Cup race of the 2009 season. Kerschbaumer defeated the German Julian Schelb while Dutch mountainbiker Michiel van der Heijden completed the podium.
In the women's race, Swiss racer Michelle Hediger showed off and left all other opponents behind. After just more than one hour racing, she finished with more than a one minute lead in front of German racer Helen Grobert and the Asutrian Lisa Mitterbauer.
