Florian Vogel has wun the 2009 Swiss championship cross country, succeeds himself and will be wearing the Swiss national champion jersey for another year.
Vogel had a two minutes lead in front of Martin Gujan and Lukas Flückiger who completed the podium for the men's elite race.
During the women's race Katrin Leumann was able to just finish ahead of the competition. A time difference with Esther Süss of only eight seconds proves that. Petra Henzi finsihed third with an almost two minutes delay.

In the men's U23, Fabian Giger was able to impress during the race and claimed the national title with two minutes ahead of Sepp Freiburghaus and 2'33" on Pascal Meyer.
During the women's U23 race, the 19-year-old Vivianne Meyer was able to defeat the one-year-older Kathrin Stirnemann mand claims the 2009 Swiss national champion title. An other 19-year-old racer Virginie Pointet finished third with a delay of 3'23".
