Sven Nys (Landbouwkrediet-Colnago) has wun the unofficial UCI-title of the Benelux Championship.
In front of 7.000 spectators, the cyclocross legend Nys set a high pace from the start and was in a leading group with the favourites...
In this leading group: Julien Absalon (Orbea), Thijs Al (AA Drinks), Gerben De Knegt (Rabobank) and Roel Paulissen (Cannondale).
This group stays together until Nys, Al and De Knegt escape and get a nice lead on this fast track.

In the penultimate lap, Nys and Al continue together until the Landbouwkrediet-Colnago racer decides to go full throttle in the last lap. There is a small gap causing Sven Nys to win with a two second lead on Thijs Al.
Julien Absalon finished third position despite a crash in the final lap. While overtaking a doubled racer, the French champion crashed and crossed the finish line with a 51 second delay.
